Important Information

We hold the correct permits required from the Charmouth Parish Council and the National Trust to run fossil walks on both beaches at Charmouth. (Black Ven & Stonebarrow)

All Private Fossil Walks at Charmouth are run by a guide that holds a 'National Governing Body' qualification and trained in 'outdoor' first aid to keep you safe in beach locations.

We are currently experiencing a high demand for Fossil Walks this year.

Private Fossil Walks are held at Charmouth, Dorset

The walks are dependent on tide times and the weather conditions

Walks start with a safety talk and a discussion on how to find fossils on the foreshore at Charmouth.

After a safety talk, examples of fossils that can be found will be shown before heading down onto the beach to hunt. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Private Fossil Walks are suitable for the whole family.
